Our story
Pot Shack began with a single concrete pot, a stretch of pavement, and our dad's bet that South African gardeners would pay for something built to last. Twenty-three years later we are a family of four behind the counter, and the same conviction shapes every pot we stock.
What started with our father has grown into a family operation. Our mother runs the books and the customer-facing yard. Our brother manages the Gauteng hub. His wife runs the studio for custom orders. We grew up packing trucks for delivery runs, and we still do, just from three hubs instead of one piece of roadside.
Pot Shack is a garden nursery, we curate, we don't manufacture. Every pot in our catalogue is hand-picked from suppliers we've worked with for years, chosen for one reason only: longevity. If a pot can't survive a Highveld winter and a lowveld summer, it doesn't make our shelves.
